Day of Inclusion - July 21st

This Saturday, July 21st, is Global Day of Inclusion - a day dedicated to creating a world where all individuals are recognized and included.

As Special Olympics celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, celebrations on Day of Inclusion will be held all around the world!

  Tim Hortons Donut

This donut was designed by 14 year old Special Olympics athlete, Savannah Lussier, from Grand Prairie, Alberta! Proceeds from every Special Olympics Donut sold will support Special Olympics athletes across Canada! If you would like to order 6 or more donuts, please complete this form, and contact the restaurant 24 hours in advance so they are prepared.

The Friend/Family Challenge:

Take a picture with the donut(s) and post it to social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) with #ChooseToInclude and #ChallengeAcceptedSOC. Be creative! Each user will be entered into a draw for a $50 TimCard!One entry per social media user.

 
The Team Challenge:
Purchase a baker’s dozen of Special Olympics Donuts for your team. Take a picture of the team with the donuts and post to social media (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) with #ChooseToInclude and #ChallengeAcceptedSOC. Be creative! Each team will be entered into a draw for a $100 TimCard! One entry per team.

Light it Up!

Landmarks around the WORLD, from Toronto's CN Tower to the London Eye in the United Kingdom will be lighting up RED to raise awareness of Special Olympics and promote the need for inclusion. Here in Calgary, the Calgary Tower, Reconciliation Bridge, Galleria Trees on Stephen Ave and McMahon Stadium will be lighting up to show their support!
